in new york. here's a look at the big week ahead. the general assembly of the united nations will hear from iran and the united kingdom tomorrow. friday, the palestinian leadership expected to make its case. israel will have an opportunity to respond on friday, as well. we'll also hear from greece, which, of course, is dealing with a huge financial crisis right now. it's rippling throughout europe, indeed, throughout the middle east. so, a lot happening right now. we're also, by the way, following another developing story breaking news happening right now. two american hikers go free after two years in iran's most notorious prison. the men were convicted of espionage earlier this year. but a million dollars bail has now secured their release. we're continuing to monitor the situation. we'll bring it to you live as we get more developments. but both of these hikers josh fattal, shane bauer have been freed and they are getting ready to fly to oman and reunite with their family and fly back to the united states. much more on this story coming up. but let's set the stage before the preside

another story -- 193 nations meeting today at the united nations general assembly in new york. but there is one -- one speaker, that's set to take the stage and is certain to spark a bit of controversy. with gadhafi gone perhaps the most controversial figure at this week's united nations general assembly meeting is now iran's president, mahmoud ahmadinejad. he's set to take stage at the u.n., a platform he's used before to spark both outrage and fear. in 2006, he famously denied the holocaust. at colombia university in 2007, he claimed there were in gays in iran. in 2009 he denied the holocaust again causing many u.n. delegates to walk out. and last year, ahmadinejad implied 9/11 could have been an inside job by the united states. but beyond ahmadinejad's words, iran's actions matter to the u.s. because iran proves itself, time and time again, to be a dang dangerous wild card in a volatile region. just in the past year, iran resisted the arab spring, launching attacks on protesters. it was reminiscent of the violent response to iran's green revolution in 2009 when iranians cam

city in the world, let alone this country is. but still, when the united nations general assembly convenes in new york city, even in a city like new york, you feel it. and you feel it not just because of all the traffic that it causes but because there is a sudden international influx of world leaders and their entourages and their issues. even the protests change. new york city always has protests. but it's only when the u.n. is in session that we have something like this, an anti-iran, russia, china, syria protest being led by activists from egypt, iran, palestine, syria, tunisia, and yemen. in terms of protests inside the u.n., though, this year was a particularly good year for what's come to be known as the annual walk out on mahmoud day. this happens every year. the president of iran, mahmoud ahmadinejad, stands up to give a speech. shirt, jacket, no tie. he's very short. he gets up to give his speech. he starts denying the holocaust. he starts demonizing america. now he's also a 9/11 truther, for the record. and every year like clockwork when he does that speech in that suit
